Yoga vs Gym

While both the forms of exercising are good in some way, for the human well being, here are some important points which are note worthy.
Yoga has a meditation aspect to it which a Gym does not have and yoga focuses on mental and physical well being.

A suryanamaskar done 12 times constantly can also burn more amounts of calories as you would after running for 20 minutes on the treadmill.
Yoga is cheaper-all you need is to have a quiet room to execute the asanas where as today’s gymnasiums will burn a hole in ones pocket.
Today’s Gym teachers also advice the students to take unnatural proteins from foreign companies to build up muscles whereas Yoga is all natural and will not have any side effects.

Mental peace and inner happiness go hand in glove with Yoga.
Meditation improves your concentration  power and intuitive abilities.
Energy Levels of a person go surprisingly higher within a few minutes of Yogic meditation.
Preferring jogging in fresh air has its own advantages than sweating it out in the close confines of a air-conditioned room.
Narcissism will be at its peak in the Gyms because you notice some people after doing weights for some time will check themselves in the mirror. Some of the exercise machines will propagate bacteria or diseases because all the GYM comers will not be very hygienic.
But one thing is very clear -no matter how much Yoga you do You will not land up in "MR. INDIA" competition . Otherwise Baba Ramdev would have won that title many a times.
But Please Join Yoga if you want fitness and when you are also willing to improve your mental toughness through meditation.
